Abstract: Objective: To investigate the application of narcotic drugs in Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical College(hereinafter
referred to as "our hospital")from 2015 to 2018, so as to provide reference for the scientific management and rational application of
narcotics. Methods: Statistical analysis was conducted on the usage amount, consumption sum, defined daily dose system(DDDs),
defined daily cost(DDC)and B/A of narcotic drugs in our hospital from 2015 to 2018 according to defined daily dose(DDD)analysis
recommended by WHO. Results: From 2015 to 2018, the usage amount of narcotic drugs in our hospital had been increasing year by
year. The usage amount and consumption sum of oral sustained-release preparations and transdermal patches increased significantly.
The DDDs of sufentanil injection continued to increase, and other narcotic drugs were relatively stable. Sufentanil injection, oxycodone
sustained-release tablets, morphine sustained-release tablets and fentanyl transdermal patch had a relatively high DDC. The B/A of all
narcotic drugs were close to 1 in 2018, which meant better synchronization of economic and social benefits. Conclusion: The
consumption of narcotics in our hospital has been increasing year by year. The application basically meets the relevant standards and
treatment specifications, but it still needs to be strengthened.
